Plates x The Canvas Cafe Fundraising Feast
The Canvas Café is a community space, a social enterprise that offers up every inch of its four walls to nourish the people around us and gives free meals for more vulnerable people like the homeless and children at risk of holiday hunger. But five-years on and our space is in desperate need of help to continue the work we’ve started.
So please join us for a very special fundraising night on the 16th of October. As a vegan business ourselves, we’re thrilled to open up our kitchen to chef Kirk Haworth of plant-based food innovation studio and restaurant, Plates. Kirk, who’s worked at some the world's best restaurants including three Michelin starred 'The French Laundry' has created a food style that is unique and innovative in its technique, inspired by his personal health and food journey.
Plates’ vegan ethos of sustainable British food sits perfectly with our own, but they’ll be bringing their refined food style to the Café with an elegant 5-course gourmet menu paired with a natural wine flight for £150.
Part of all monies raised will go to Kirk’s chosen charity LymeAid UK, whilst the rest will go towards reaching our fundraising target for the vital building work helping us better serve the community that we’re proud to be part of. We believe that humans are amazing; you just need to give them the space to be so.
